OUR HISTORY
FINDING A HOME FOR THE UNWANTED
In 1986, a group joined hands and Ardmore Animal Care was organized. A fund drive reaching every citizen in Ardmore was to help raise the funds for a building. The city of Ardmore donated over 13 acres and set aside funds from the old shelter. Two foundations in Ardmore made contributions to the effort; but most pleasing was the cooperation of the citizens of Ardmore who gave generously. The new shelter was completely paid for with these donated funds.
